Fotografiens Hus is committed to the representation and support of lens-based practices interspersed within the fields of photography and visual art, showcased through 8 selected exhibitions each year.

We are located in Oslo’s city center, within the art district Kvadratruten.

Open calls for exhibition space are presented twice a year – deadlines for submissions are February 1st and September 1st, as of 2024. Each application is carefully considered and selections are made by our appointed jury of acclaimed professionals within the field; Anne-Stine Johnsbråten and Bård Ek.

Through the gallery’s expansive programming, exhibitions consist of both solo- and group features. During our selection process, the jury may find interesting connections between entries, and applying artists may be offered the opportunity to participate alongside other applicants in a group exhibition.
