Gratis deltakelse.
Les mer om omvisningen her: kunstneromvisning.
Arrangementet gjennomføres med støtte fra Fritt Ord.
Curses: Reverse Cursed Technique Creative Writing Workshop
In the Japanese manga series Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦じゅじゅつかいせん) portrays the Reverse Cursed Technique (反はん転てん術じゅつ式しき Hanten Jutsushiki), a techinique that converts cursed energy into positive energy using the principle of multiplying a negative by another negative to produce a positive.
Alongside the exhibition, the “Curses: Reverse Cursed Technique” Creative Writing Workshop invites participants to engage in the ritual of Reverse Cursed Technique practices through collective storytelling, transforming personal and cultural fears into shared acts of care and words of amulets.
In the workshop, participants are asked to share their dreams and nightmares, which become points of departure for imagining a collective dream together. The English film critic and educator Robin Wood once described, “at once the personal dreams of their makers and the collective dreams of their audiences-the fusion made possible by the shared structures of a common ideology.” Drawing from personal memories and cultural mythologies, the workshop explores how fear can be reimagined not only as an individual burden but as a shared site of transformation. Through collaborative exercises, participants are guided to convert their experiences of vulnerability into acts of solidarity, weaving together new narratives that affirm resilience and strength, eventually reversing the curse.
