Fotografiens Hus is committed to the representation and support of lens-based practices interspersed within the fields of photography and visual art, showcased through 8 selected exhibitions each year.

We are located in Oslo’s city center, within the art district Kvadratruten.

Open calls for exhibition space are presented twice a year – deadlines for submissions are February 1st and September 1st, as of 2026. Each application is carefully considered and selections are made by our appointed jury; Anne-Stine Johnsbråten, Bård Ek, Sakib Saber and Anna Maria Solum. 

Through the gallery’s expansive programming, exhibitions consist of both solo- and group features. During our selection process, the jury may find interesting connections between entries, and applying artists may be offered the opportunity to participate alongside other applicants in a group exhibition.
